Homemade Water Distiller Tutorial

Tap water is not as clean as you might think. One way to make it clean is to use a water distiller. Any good quality water distiller like these ones here costs hundreds of dollars. Alternatively, you can make your own DIY water distiller for a fraction of the cost. It only costs you about $20.
Homemade Water Distiller still works great for purifying tap water and produces lots of pure drinking water fast. And this homemade water distiller can be powered by stove, rocket stove campfire, or parabolic dish etc. It is great for everyday use or SHTF/emergency situation.
Caveats
- Do not use a plastic collection vessel. In addition to BPA issues, plastic will melt/warp.
- Do not touch the copper pipe. It gets super hot.
- Don’t try to seal the jar. Some water vapor needs to escape or high pressure would build up fast.
- The bigger the glass jar that you use, the larger amount of water vapor you can collect at a given time.
