How To Make DIY Recycled Bath Towel Area Rugs
Throwing out those old bath towels? Why not consider upcycling them first!Marianne is going to walk you through how to make lovely area rugs using those recycled bath towels. Apparently, you can be get creative by combining different types and colors of towels.These beautiful area rugs could be very beautiful and useful for your home.
To make such area rugs, first cut some towels into several one inch strips. You can vary the colors and sew three ends together. Then braid these three strips. You can fold the ends beneath to hide the raw edges. Next, connect three more strips to the end of this braid. Continue braiding this set of strips. Repeat the above steps until you’ve used all your strips to make one long braid. To sew the rug together, you shape and coil the long braid to create a circular rug. Lastly, sew the ends together, and voila! Your lovely area rug is ready for use.
