Now I am laughing at myself, because for as long as I have been using tape measures, I thought my tape measure was defective, as the hook doesn’t seem to be attached firmly on the tape.
After watching this video, I realized that it was on purpose. It is actually a very useful feature on almost every tape measure nowadays.
